Aurora House is a nonprofit initiative committed to supporting families traveling to Boston Children's Hospital for pediatric medical care. We provide safe, affordable housing and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family has a place to stay so you can focus on what matters most.
Our Vision
The Need
Thousands of families each year travel to Boston Children's Hospital for their child's medical care. The need for temporary housing is always present. We aim to narrow the gap in this need and lessen the burden that families feel in searching for accommodations while their child is receiving care.
What Aurora House Will Offer
Our foundation seeks to provide 3 to 4 fully furnished apartments that will offer private spaces for families and close proximity to the hospital. Each apartment will include utilities, internet, and essentials supplies.
The Impact
Our short-term temporary housing can effectively impact over 100 families per year with average stays being 1 week.

We are in the foundational stage of nonprofit development which means the opportunity for student engagement is not theoretical.
